QUEENSTOWN AIRPORT TERMINAL EXPANSION
Queenstown Airport has been working on its terminal and apron expansion program, with Airbiz as lead terminal planners throughout the planning phase. Airbiz assessed the area and facility requirements and then prepared terminal layout concept options to satisfy these requirements as well as projected demand. Following development of the terminal concept, Airbiz continued to work with the architectural team commissioned to deliver the project, as aeronautical functional adviser.
Airbiz were proud sponsors of the ACI Developing Nations Airport Assistance Programme (ACI DNA) Seminar, which took place in Auckland, New Zealand on the 3rd to 5th of December 2014. A number of interactive presentations and workshops were scheduled for the delegates, with three Airbiz team members invited to speak to the participants on a range of topics.
WELLINGTON AIRPORT TERMINAL AND APRON DEVELOPMENT
Airbiz has been working closely with Wellington International Airport on apron and terminal planning for immediate airport expansion requirements. A number of new and exciting developments have been planned for the expansion, changing the way the current terminal operates and significantly improving passenger experience. AIRBIZ LENDS A HAND
In celebration of a very successful year, the Airbiz teams in Australia, Canada and New Zealand participated in the annual Airbiz End of Year Workshop. At the forefront of each Airbiz workshop is the charity work carried out by each of the teams. In Australia, the staff had a working bee at the Children First Foundation Rehabilitation Farm. The team rolled up their sleeves and carried out some much needed maintenance and building tasks at the farm, which runs solely on donations. The Canadian team participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Iona Beach Regional Park. Every effort was made to gather as much litter as possible, and together they collected nearly 40kg of rubbish. Airbiz staff in New Zealand travelled by ferry to Motutapu Island, where they tackled an infestation of gorse.
All of the staff were incredibly proud of the assistance they provided to these three very deserving organisations.
