Karl is an aviation consultant with experience in airport capacity, airside and terminal planning and airport noise modelling. As an aeronautical engineer with experience working on three continents, his area of specialisation is aircraft and their interaction with airport systems.
Karl has a broad range of experience in airport planning, including terminal planning, de-icing facility planning, property development plans, airfield capacity studies and aerobridge commissioning. Since completing his honours thesis on runway capacity at Hamburg Airport, Germany, he has completed various studies into airfield capacity at airports in Asia, New Zealand and North America. Karl also has significant experience with simulation modelling and was the lead modeller for the Sydney Airport Master Plan, the Calgary Airport new runway project and the offsite athlete check-in facility for the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Karl has completed airside and terminal simulations for airports in Canada and Australia and also completed noise models for various airports within Australia.
