Airport Connector Building

The Brussels Airport Connector building was a major project designed to link Piers A (Schengen) and B (Non-Schengen) above ground and centralise all passenger processing functions.

The Connector building, covering 32,850m², now accommodates automated access control, security screening and passport control for all departing and transferring passengers, and includes space allowances for bussing lounges and baggage reclaim expansion.

Apart from passenger processing facilities, the Connector also accommodates a holding area including retail offering (5,000m²), that operates based on a call-to-gate concept.

Our team prepared the functional planning for the Connector, proved the concept using simulation modelling, and held a supervisory role during the architectural development.
