As part of the winning team for the Marseille terminal design competition with Fosters and Partners, Airbiz was appointed by Aeroport Marseille Provence (AMP) as the terminal planner for the MP1 terminal expansion and new pier design. As part of the team, Airbiz’ role was to provide terminal and airside planning advice to Fosters and Partners, Tangram and WSP France from the concept design through to the opening of the new infrastructures.The work was based on a demand horizon of 2046 and planned to accommodate an estimated 12 million passengers per year (excluding the MP2 terminal).  The design also included new taxiways and the redevelopment of the apron to accommodate the new pier and aircraft parking positions, fixed links and aerobridges.
