JFK T4 Check-in

For the past several years, Airbiz has been working with the JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT) to help them realise their Fast Travel vision for Terminal 4, provide world-class service to their passengers and airlines, and move towards recovery from the disruption of Covid-19.
In the early stages, the Airbiz team developed a self-service strategy to transform check-in operations. Once JFKIAT selected their preferred concept, Airbiz continued to assist through the bid phase of the project by helping develop performance specifications for self-service kiosks and self-service bag drops to go to tender. Among other things, biometrics, touchless and payment solutions formed part of the requirements to achieve the overall vision, improve passenger experience and enhance capacity. Offers were then evaluated, and a preferred vendor was selected.

Our team also recently developed an innovative pricing model to recover the associated costs marking the beginning of the implementation phase that will be carried out with client airlines.”
Two airlines started to used self-service units in April 2023. In total, more than 20 carriers will be expected to used self-service units after all check-in rows are upgraded.
